Buttons were designed to merge fashion with technology without compromising function or performance. The product features a meticulously tuned audio system, machined aluminum components, and an extensive array of thoughtfully designed ear pads to fit almost anyone. Buttons are sold globally, consistently receive user ratings at the top of the industry, and are a product of I.AM+ – Will.i.am’s technology company.

For me, the most challenging aspect of this project was to design an in-ear interface that was comfortable and secure for the widest range of users possible. We enlisted the help of PHDs specializing in in-ear devices, industry experts in earbud retention, and dozens of my co-workers who generously allowed me to use them as guinea pigs as they tried a multitude of prototypes in their ears. The result was an extensive and innovative ear pad system that provides industry leading comfort.

Buttons come with two types of ear pads – One-Piece (lower row) and Two-Piece (upper grouping). The One-Piece pads provide easy setup and can be quickly inserted and removed from the ears. The Two-Piece pads provide optimum comfort, security and sound quality, but require a bit more effort to set up.

Buttons come in eight different color variations – the four shown on the left are Apple exclusives.
